So where to begin? Well, with magazines of course! That is the place every bride begins her journey, because what better way to get an idea of how you want your perfect day to be and what is available than to be inspired by the beautiful glossy pages of a wedding magazine. Some brides pick one or two magazines to look through, but I was not one of those. Personally, I wanted one of each magazine available to make sure I had all the information and all the options right to hand. That’s just me perhaps it was a little over the top, but what fun it was!

I am not much of a magazine reader normally, but on this occasion I poured over the magazines all the while creating in my mind a wonderfully elaborate day and the gown…

I chose to have my gown personally tailored for me to my own unique design so that I could incorporate all the wonderful things I admired from several different wedding gown designers. It was absolutely gorgeous, but truthfully if I were to do it all again I would buy a dress already made, because adding this extra item to my list of things to do was entirely unnecessary even if the end result was stunning. Whatever your final decision I know you will look stunning in your modest wedding gowns because all brides do. What can I say – it’s a Bride thing!

Now, my sister who got married recently had the right idea. She flipped through her magazines, selected her wedding gown, found a shop that stocked it, tried it on and bought it! Now that is what I call precision shopping and if you can find your perfect modest wedding gowns on the pages of a magazine or on a website, for a price that is affordable to you, just go for it. You will be glad you did, because once you have that perfect gown everything else just starts to fall into place around it.
